A Special Message From Lisa

Are you a women’s health professional?

Do you have a professional designation — midwife, nurse practitioner, dietitian, nutritionist, acupuncturist, naturopath, chiropractor, massage therapist, pelvic floor physical therapist, or another designation?

Are you a women’s health coach, fertility specialist, or other type of women’s health practitioner?

Are you working towards a professional designation in women’s health?

Have you been searching for a comprehensive fertility awareness training program that will not only teach complex chart interpretation, but provide you with step-by-step protocols to use the menstrual cycle as a diagnostic tool with your clients?

Well my friend,

you’re in the right place!

join us in famm!

We’re currently accepting applications for our next class, starting in May 2026!

Looking for a Comprehensive Fertility Awareness Certification for

Health Professionals?

Chances are …

  • You want to specialize in fertility awareness, but you haven’t found a training program specifically designed for women’s health professionals.
  • You understand the basics of cycle charting — maybe you’ve already started teaching your clients — but you haven’t found a training program that teaches advanced menstrual chart interpretation and adequately prepares you to handle complex cases.
  • You’re already working with clients who have specific concerns — irregular cycles, PMS, painful periods, fertility challenges — but you don’t always feel confident providing the support they need.
  • Even though your formal education in women’s health touched on hormones and reproduction, it didn’t include comprehensive, science-backed training in fertility awareness or complex menstrual cycle analysis.

If any of these resonate with you, FAMM is the certification

you’ve been searching for!

Why Didn’t I Learn This Before?

Despite years of education in women’s health, hormones, and reproductive medicine, most practitioners graduate with massive gaps in their understanding of fertility awareness and menstrual cycle analysis.

You’re not alone if your previous training either glossed over it or didn’t cover it at all.

Comprehensive fertility awareness education is simply not a standard part of women’s health training.

Did you know…
  • The majority of healthcare providers underestimate the effectiveness of fertility awareness-based methods and cite “ineffectiveness” as their primary reason for not offering them to patients. [1]
  • Fewer than 5% of medical professionals receive formal training in fertility awareness-based methods. [2, 3
  • Fertility awareness-based methods are mentioned less than 4% of the time in U.S. medical school curricula — and when mentioned, they typically use outdated terminology (such as referring to modern fertility awareness methods as the “rhythm method”). [4]
  • When surveyed, fewer than 6% of OBGYNs and family physicians could correctly identify the effectiveness of common fertility awareness-based methods. [5

This presents an incredible opportunity for you!

And that’s where you’ll stand out.

Understanding the menstrual cycle and its connection to health is no longer “optional” for women’s health professionals

— it’s essential.

Enrollment is officially open for our next class starting in May 2026!

Setting A New Standard In Women’s Health

The Fertility Awareness Institute (FAI) was founded to equip women’s health professionals to integrate advanced menstrual cycle analysis into their clinical practice.

By combining comprehensive fertility awareness education with rigorous, evidence-based instruction in women’s hormone health, we prepare practitioners to work with the menstrual cycle as a clinically relevant vital sign.

This is precisely the gap,
this certification was created to fill.

Two Essential Skill Sets.
One Comprehensive Certification.

Evidence-Based Fertility Awareness Educator Training

Master the FAMM double-check symptothermal method — an evidence-based approach integrating advanced cervical mucus charting strategies, basal body temperature, cervical position, and a preovulatory infertile day calculation, delivering 99.4% effectiveness when used correctly for natural birth control.

Advanced Menstrual Cycle Analysis & Clinical Application

Go beyond basic charting to interpret complex and atypical cycles with precision. Learn our proprietary FAMM Teaching and Assessment Protocols — a systematic, step-by-step framework for identifying and addressing a wide range of menstrual and reproductive challenges, from irregular ovulation and luteal phase defects to PCOS, hypothalamic amenorrhea, postpartum fertility return, and perimenopause.

This combination is what sets FAMM apart — and it’s why our practitioners are equipped to support any client, whether their cycles are straightforward or wildly atypical.

Is FAMM Right For You?

Our signature Fertility Awareness Mastery Mentorship™ Certification is specifically designed for women’s health professionals who want to integrate fertility awareness and advanced menstrual cycle analysis into their clinical practice.

FAMM

is ideal for…

health coaches

Nutritionists, Dietitians & Health Coaches, and Fertility Awareness Educators working with women on hormone health, fertility, or cycle-related concerns who want to provide evidence-based guidance rooted in actual cycle data rather than generalized recommendations.

Bodywork

Acupuncturists, Massage Therapists & Bodyworkers who support women through menstrual health challenges and want to integrate fertility awareness into treatment protocols.

Midwives

Midwives, Doulas & Birth Workers who need comprehensive training in postpartum fertility awareness and preconception cycle optimization.

Mental Health

Mental Health Professionals & Counsellors supporting women with cycle-related mood symptoms who want to understand the physiological foundations of hormonal patterns.

Physical Therapists

Pelvic Floor Therapists & Women’s Health Physical Therapists addressing conditions influenced by hormonal fluctuations who need charting competency to track patterns across the cycle.

FAMM Is Perfect for You Because…

  • You want to incorporate menstrual cycle chart interpretation into your existing practice in a professional and scientific way
  • You know the menstrual cycle is a woman’s fifth vital sign, but you don’t feel confident reading and interpreting your client’s menstrual cycle charts (especially complex cases)
  • You want to be able to identify possible health conditions and hormonal imbalances based on the patterns you see in your client’s menstrual cycle charts
  • You want to help your clients identify possible fertility-related issues through menstrual cycle charting and chart interpretation
  • You want to help your clients improve a variety of cycle-related issues, including irregular cycles, PMS symptoms, low progesterone, short luteal phase, premenstrual spotting, light, heavy, and/or painful periods
  • You understand how the menstrual cycle works, but you don’t know how to interpret complex or abnormal menstrual cycle patterns
  • You want to use menstrual cycle charting as a diagnostic tool in your practice to help your clients identify underlying health issues
  • You want to help your clients improve their chances of conception through menstrual cycle charting
  • You want to empower your clients to understand how their body works through menstrual cycle charting
  • You want to support your clients to feel confident about non-hormonal birth control options
  • You want to understand the benefits and limitations of fertility awareness-based methods of birth control so you can confidently support your clients when they want to transition off hormonal contraceptives

If You Work With Women

and you’ve ever thought…
  • “I know the basics, but I don’t feel confident interpreting complex or unusual charts.”
  • “Even with all my training, there are things that just haven’t clicked — especially cervical mucus.”
  • “My clients ask about fertility awareness postpartum, but I would need additional training to support them.”
  • “I have personal charting experience, and I’ve read several books on the subject, but I still don’t have the clinical structure I need.”
  • “I can see something’s off with my client’s cycle, but I don’t know how to pinpoint the underlying issue — or what to do about it.”

That’s exactly why we created FAMM!

  • FAMM provided a systemized, clinical approach to fertility awareness cycle charting. The training I had before was more loosey-goosey, whereas Lisa’s clinical, strategic, and systemized approach made the biggest difference.

Six Core Training Modules

Transform your practice in 9 months!

Fertility
Awareness
Fundamentals

Understanding the menstrual cycle as the fifth vital sign

Develop a comprehensive understanding of the physiological processes that underlie fertility. You’ll learn to observe, interpret, and chart the body’s key fertility biomarkers — building the foundation for everything that follows in this program. From reproductive anatomy and hormonal regulation to the practical skills of cervical mucus observation, basal body temperature charting, and fertile window identification, this module gives you the scientific grounding and hands-on competence to confidently teach fertility awareness from day one.

FAMM Symptothermal Method Rules

Teach the FAMM double-check symptothermal method with 99.4% effectiveness

Learn to teach the FAMM double-check symptothermal Method — a scientifically grounded approach that combines cervical mucus and basal body temperature as primary fertility indicators, with optional cervical position and LH testing for additional confirmation. This module takes you beyond theory into real-world application, guiding clients through the learning curve so they can manage their fertile window with precision, and providing practical guidance on barrier methods and emergency contraception within a fertility awareness framework.

Conceiving With FAMM

Evidence-based strategies for conception and preconception

Apply fertility awareness charting as a powerful tool for optimizing conception — going beyond timing intercourse to integrating cycle interpretation with nutritional, hormonal, and lifestyle strategies that enhance egg and sperm quality, luteal health, and early pregnancy outcomes. Drawing from the evidence-based protocols in Real Food for Fertility, this module equips you to support couples from preconception through early pregnancy and the postpartum transition.

Menstrual Cycle Analysis

Using the menstrual cycle as a clinical tool

This is where FAMM sets itself apart. Learn to analyze the menstrual cycle as a clinical tool for assessing hormonal health, identifying patterns of dysfunction, and guiding clients toward cycle restoration. Through supervised chart reviews and guided mentorship, you’ll learn to apply scientific reasoning alongside holistic insight — using the menstrual cycle as both a diagnostic window and a teaching tool for body literacy and hormonal health restoration.

Postpartum Charting

Fertility awareness charting strategies for the fourth trimester

Support clients through the hormonal and physiological transitions of the postpartum period, including the suppression and gradual return of fertility. From navigating lactational amenorrhea and unpredictable mucus patterns to guiding clients through the unique challenges of breastfeeding and the unpredictable return of fertility postpartum, this module gives you the strategies, checklists, and client handouts to confidently support postpartum clients. You’ll also learn from leading experts in postpartum recovery and charting.

Cycle Restoration

Addressing complex cases with confidence

These advanced modules take you beyond basic charting strategies into the clinical application of fertility awareness. If you’ve ever had a client come to you with irregular cycles, missing periods, or painful menstruation — and felt unsure how to help — this is where you’ll find the answers. You’ll learn to identify what’s driving cycle disruptions, the key cycle markers associated with common menstrual cycle and reproductive challenges, and you’ll gain the tools to confidently guide your clients to restore normal cycling. You’ll also benefit from our extensive resource library, providing you with access to the latest peer-reviewed research (full-text) for all topics covered in FAMM.

Core advanced modules include:

FAMM curriculum

Nutrition for Healthy Cycles — This module covers the foundational dietary and lifestyle factors that support regular ovulation and healthy cycles, including incorporating nutrient-dense foods, maintaining optimal blood sugar balance, and targeted nutrient repletion.

FAMM curriculum

Advanced Chart Interpretation — This module covers a variety of common charting situations, from continuous mucus patterns, anovulatory cycles, and everything in between. It will help you develop a seasoned clinical eye to differentiate normal variation from dysfunction — and recognize the red flags that could be pointing to thyroid imbalance, luteal phase deficiency, inflammation, or other underlying issues.

FAMM curriculum

Coming Off the Pill — This module covers what to expect during the post-pill transition so you can confidently support your clients through this phase. Hormonal contraceptives are known to impact the return of fertility, ovulation, luteal phase length, cervical mucus production, nutrient reserves, and more.

FAMM curriculum

Perimenopause and Premenopause — The 10 years leading up to menopause are marked by significant cycle changes: changes in cycle length, ovulatory disruptions, metabolism changes, and more. This module prepares you to support clients through the hormonal transition years using cycle charting as an essential tool to monitor changes as they happen in real time.

FAMM curriculum

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) — This module prepares you to recognize the hallmarks of PCOS in the menstrual chart and the metabolic and hormonal drivers beneath the surface. It also prepares you to apply the dietary and lifestyle strategies necessary to restore regular ovulation.

FAMM curriculum

Hypothalamic Amenorrhea (HA) — In this module, you’ll learn to recognize HA on the menstrual chart, understand the underlying drivers — chronic undereating, over-exercise, and stress — distinguish it from PCOS, and support clients through the recovery process.

FAMM curriculum

Period Pain, Endometriosis, and Fibroids — This module covers the underlying mechanisms behind painful periods, endometriosis, and fibroids — including the role of inflammation, estrogen dominance, and hormonal imbalance. You’ll gain the tools to help your clients reduce symptoms and support their reproductive health long-term.

FAMM curriculum

Thyroid and Menstrual Cycle Health — This module covers the connection between thyroid function and the menstrual cycle — including how thyroid dysfunction shows up in the chart through irregular cycles, anovulation, short luteal phases, and low BBT. You’ll learn to spot the signs of thyroid imbalance and integrate charting data with lab work and symptoms.

Why FAMM?

Learning to teach your clients how to chart their cycles

isn’t enough.

Most fertility awareness programs train you to teach your clients to chart their cycles and then leave you to figure everything else out on your own. FAMM provides the mentorship, specialized protocols, and science-backed foundation to support your clients with confidence.

  • Live weekly training calls — Unlike most online training programs, FAMM gives you direct, face-to-face interaction every week — ask questions, talk through real client cases, and apply what you’re learning in real time.
  • Real-world case studies in real time — You’ll have the opportunity to analyze dozens of real client cases as they unfold in our live weekly calls. Your training in FAMM is based on real client cases with all their complexity and unpredictability, so you’re prepared to hit the ground running.
  • Intentional assignments designed with purpose — We despise busy work in FAMM, so you won’t find that here. We limit the number of assignments to ensure they all serve a purpose. Many of our graduates have told us that they refer back to their assignments often because they line up with the most common questions their clients ask about during sessions.
  • Chart your own cycles as you learn — If you’re currently cycling, you’ll have the opportunity to go through the full charting process yourself. Many of our graduates say this was one of the most valuable parts of the program, giving them insight into their own health and a level of confidence that only comes from personal experience. With that said, if you’re pregnant, postpartum, or past cycling age, don’t worry! We have options for you during the program so you don’t miss out.
  • Six private coaching sessions — Use these sessions to work through your practicum cases, any charting questions you have, and for personalized guidance as you build your skills.
  • FAMM Teaching & Assessment Protocols — Our systematic, step-by-step frameworks walk you through exactly how to structure your program offerings, the most effective strategies to teach fertility awareness, and how to apply our evidence-based protocols when issues arise. Our FAMM Teaching & Assessment Protocols provide the structure and confidence you need to handle even the most complex cases.
  • Done-for-you resources — You’ll gain access to dozens of our client handouts, practitioner checklists, and evidence-based protocols ready to use in your practice. These resources are invaluable and will save you years of development time.
  • Full-text, peer-reviewed research library — Every protocol in FAMM is backed by peer-reviewed research — and you’ll have access to all of the full-text studies we draw from, organized by topic. When a client asks about any of the recommendations you’ve made or if you want a deeper understanding of the science behind it, you can easily pull exactly what you need.
  • Seasoned colleagues and occasionally lifetime friends — FAMM is high touch — we see you every week, so we’ll definitely get to know each other. You’ll also get to know the women in your cohort. Many of our graduates stay in touch for years after the program, sending charts back and forth, collaborating on tough cases, and supporting each other’s practices.
  • Recordings you’ll return to again and again — Every training session is recorded and organized in our online portal. When a client comes to you with a specific issue, you can go back and review that exact topic as many times as you need to.
  • Far more in-depth than you think — Whether you’re brand new to fertility awareness or you’ve been practicing for years, FAMM goes far deeper than you think. How do we know? Because our graduates tell us over and over again! (See for yourself!) This includes practitioners who came to us with advanced degrees and certifications in women’s health or even prior certification in various fertility awareness-based methods.
  • Support that doesn’t end at graduation — Once you complete your certification, your access to FAMM doesn’t have to end! Many of our graduates join our FAMM Alumni program for continued access to our team, our private Slack community for real-time Q&A, and monthly calls. There’s no limit to the number of questions you can ask us because we’re deeply invested in your success. Bring on the questions and keep them coming!

What Changes After FAMM?

You’ll graduate with the skills, protocols, and confidence to support any client — no matter how complex their cycle.

FAMM prepares you to support clients with a wide variety of common cycle issues, as opposed to simply preparing you to teach your clients how to chart their cycles.

You’ll be able to teach your clients a natural birth control method with 99.4% effectiveness and zero side effects.

The FAMM double-check symptothermal Method is a science-backed birth control method that rivals hormonal contraceptives in effectiveness — but only when used correctly. You’ll learn to teach it with confidence and precision — even if your clients’ cycles aren’t ‘regular’ or ‘predictable.’

Your clients’ cycles and charts will no longer be a mystery! You’ll be able to interpret even the most complex charts with ease.

Short luteal phases, delayed ovulation, erratic temperatures, abnormal cervical mucus patterns, irregular cycles won’t be confusing anymore. We provide protocols and strategies to support clients as they encounter these and other common cycle issues.

With a FAMM Certification, you’ll not only have the information you need to understand situations like these, but you’ll have hands-on experience with your practicum clients and access to a high volume of real client case studies as they unfold during our weekly classes.

You’ll gain the ability to support clients through common reproductive phases and transition periods.

FAMM prepares you to work with teenage girls as they transition through puberty, women transitioning off hormonal contraceptives, new mothers postpartum, women navigating perimenopause, and everything in between. Most of your clients won’t have predictable 28-day cycles, and FAMM prepares you to support your clients through these often challenging milestones.

You’ll have the tools, science-backed resources, strategy, and confidence to support your clients through hormonal imbalances and common cycle issues.

Our practitioners rave about our research library. Access the full-text papers behind all of our strategies and protocols. All tailored to the menstrual cycle and adjusted accordingly for each client. The FAMM approach allows you to provide individualized, cycle-based support at a whole new level.

You’ll set yourself apart from all other practitioners in the “health and hormone” space by providing customized support and insights using the menstrual cycle as a unique biomarker with your clients.

The menstrual cycle is the missing piece you’ve been waiting for in your client work. Instead of waiting for lab work for hormonal insights, you get to work with real-time data, providing insights on a daily basis based on what your client is noting in her charts. This provides a fundamentally different level of insight — and women recognize it immediately. After years of being dismissed and ignored, you’ll finally be able to decipher what’s happening with their cycles. Something very few practitioners are trained to do.

You’ll gain a supportive community for ongoing learning, troubleshooting, and professional connections.

As a FAMM practitioner, you’ll gain access to a community of practitioners working through the same challenges, plus the resources and mentorship to help you navigate cases that don’t fit neatly into a protocol. When you encounter something you haven’t seen before, you won’t need Google or ChatGPT because you’ll gain access to a new network of practitioners who are just as passionate and knowledgeable as you are.

Hear It From Our FAMM

Practitioners
  • Before FAMM, I didn’t have the structure I have now. Using fertility awareness and cycle charting as a diagnostic tool is completely integrated into my practice. It’s at the centre of my signature offering. I increased my prices, and I’m generating the most revenue that I ever have.

Haley Smith, MScN, Women’s Health Nutritionist,  FAMM Certified Practitioner
  • I had read all of Lisa’s books, Taking Charge of Your Fertility, and listened to probably every episode of her podcast — and FAMM was still a whole other level. My practice is completely different now. I’ve been working in fertility and women’s health for ten years, and I’m just sad that I went so long without having this level of information.

Holly Leever, Licensed Acupuncturist & Herbalist, FAMM Certified Practitioner
  • FAMM absolutely exceeded my expectations and was a great investment in myself and my clients. It is comprehensive and well thought out, providing the knowledge and skills necessary for practitioners to help clients achieve a greater understanding of their bodies, cycles, menstrual health, and overall health. I highly recommend the FAMM Certification program for practitioners looking to enhance and deepen the services they offer to support their clients’ reproductive wellness.

Rebecca R. Susi, LCMT, PCES, SpBAP, Abdominal Therapist & FAMM Certified Practitioner
  • A phenomenal program for health professionals. As a Preconception Health Coach & Holistic Nutritionist, I was looking for a certification program that would help me bridge the gap between menstrual cycles and fertility. Learning alongside Lisa was an incredible experience! Her patience, attention to detail, wealth of knowledge and passion for this subject helped me learn in a way that could not be done through a self-guided program.

Nora Debora, Preconception Health Coach, FAMM Certified Practitioner
  • FAMM gave me the confidence to teach fertility awareness with real specificity, tailoring support to exactly where someone is in their cycle. I remember looking at the website and seeing the outline of the syllabus and thinking, ‘This is it. This is what I need.’ I signed up really late — just before Christmas — and it was the best decision I made last year, 100%.

Katy Ewen, Reflexologist, FAMM Certified Practitioner
  • Everything you had us do exposed us to information and processes we’ll use with clients — there’s no busy work, there’s nothing that is not necessary. Every single assignment is 100% tangible in the sense that I’ll use it again and refer back to it. Seeing all these real-life scenarios, not just textbook charts, expanded the ways I can support someone. I just feel like you totally upped the quality of my business!

    — Nikki Zavitz, B.Ed, Menstrual Cycle Awareness & Body Literacy Advocate, FAMM Certified Practitioner
  • As a newbie practitioner, FAMM was exactly what I needed. Not only did the content directly apply to clients in my practice (no fluff!), but the small group setting made it easy for me to ask questions. Lisa’s guidance and feedback didn’t just help me build my knowledge base, but my ability to be confident when working with clients. She helped me become a better guide and coach and think through period problems more critically. 10/10 recommend.

Meet Our Founder And Your Instructor

Lisa Hendrickson-Jack

I started charting my cycles back in the early 2000s, before social media and smartphones — a time when most women had never heard of menstrual charting. Fast forward to now — more than 25 years later — the entire landscape of women’s hormone and menstrual health has changed dramatically.

It’s no longer ‘optional’ to offer charting support to your clients. As a women’s health professional, you already know the challenges your clients face when they seek support from conventional providers for common menstrual cycle and hormone issues.

Lisa Hendrickson-Jack

Your clients don’t need any more generic, one-size-fits-all advice

Especially if it’s coming from yet another practitioner with little to no training in fertility awareness-based methods, the menstrual cycle, or hormone health.

They need personalized, science-backed guidance tailored to exactly what’s happening in their cycle. Unfortunately, most fertility awareness training programs don’t adequately prepare you to offer that level of support.

As a certified fertility awareness educator with over 20 years experience in the field, I founded the Fertility Awareness Institute® to help women’s health professionals use the menstrual cycle as a true vital sign with their clients in practice.

When your clients approach you with irregular cycles, hormone imbalances, unclear cervical mucus patterns, erratic basal body temperature charts, common menstrual issues like PCOS, hypothalamic amenorrhea, painful periods, post-pill amenorrhea, and other related issues, the real question is: are you truly prepared to guide them with confidence?

I wasn’t.

After completing my second fertility awareness certification, I thought I was ready. I had spent two years studying, completing hundreds of assignments, and finishing a year-long practicum.

But when I started seeing clients, I realized that my training hadn’t prepared me for what I saw on their charts.

Their cycles didn’t look like mine, and they didn’t look like the curated textbook charts either.

I had learned how to teach charting — but I hadn’t learned how to interpret complex, irregular, or abnormal cycles — let alone how to support clients struggling with fertility challenges, or any of the common cycle issues I saw in practice.

That’s why the Fertility Awareness Institute® exists — and it’s why I created the Fertility Awareness Mastery MentorshipTM Certification.

After more than 20 years of deep clinical work — and over 10,000 hours of deep research and cycle analysis — I designed the program I wish I’d had from the start.

Your clients are already asking about it.

Are you ready to transform the way you support them?

Have Questions?

We know you have a few questions, so here’s a list of the most common questions our practitioners ask us about FAMM:

Save the date! Our next class of FAMM will begin in May 2026!

Join the waiting list to be the first to know when we open registration for our next class!

FAMM teaches a standardized method of charting that allows you to use the menstrual cycle as a vital sign to the fullest extent. Although you may understand how to chart your own cycles, most women seek professional support when they have health-related challenges and abnormal menstrual cycle patterns. In other words, most of your clients will have menstrual cycle charts that look nothing like yours!

Without high-level training in standardized charting protocols and advanced chart interpretation, you’ll find yourself unsure of how to counsel your clients. With a FAMM certification, you’ll have the tools you need to assess each phase of the menstrual cycle and thoroughly investigate all areas with your clients.

Unlike other fertility awareness training programs, FAMM is designed specifically for women’s health professionals. This means that all unnecessary “fluff” outside of fertility awareness method training and the science behind using the menstrual cycle as a diagnostic tool has been removed. All modules, lectures, and homework assignments are directly related to what you will use with clients in your practice. Additional lessons on feminist theory, ideology, history, and other interesting (but time-consuming) modules have been excluded to keep this program to a manageable 9-month time frame.

FAMM teaches you how to use the menstrual cycle as a vital sign and diagnostic tool in your practice. You’ll learn how to identify common health issues via the menstrual cycle chart through a standardized charting methodology. Many programs teach the charting aspect, but fail to provide the in-depth training and step-by-step protocols you need to help your clients restore normal cycling.

FAMM does both — fertility awareness education and high-level client assessment protocols. You’ll develop the skills and confidence to teach your clients to chart their cycles and resolve their cycle issues.

We’ve had numerous FAMM graduates who entered the program with a prior fertility awareness certification, and they always tell us that they’re truly blown away by what they’ve learned. If you’ve already taken a fertility awareness educator training program, you know that there’s a difference between learning to teach your clients how to chart their cycles and learning advanced chart interpretation (and related health protocols).

Many programs teach the charting aspect, but fail to provide the in-depth training and step-by-step protocols you need to help your clients restore normal cycling. After all, you’re considering this program because you recognize that your training didn’t quite cover everything you were hoping to learn!

FAMM will teach you standardized charting protocols to better analyze and interpret the menstrual cycle, and help your clients achieve optimal hormone health.

You don’t need prior charting experience to join FAMM (there is no minimum charting requirement); however, if you are currently cycling, you’re required to chart your cycles for the duration of the program. With that said, if you haven’t started charting your cycles, consider starting now so you have a few charts under your belt before FAMM begins!

FAMM practitioners learn the symptothermal method, using evidence-based strategies (such as cross-check and preovulatory double check rules) to ensure the highest possible efficacy for clients. This is a double-check method with a perfect-use effectiveness rate of 99.4% — on par with hormonal contraceptives when taught properly and used correctly.

To get the most out of FAMM, you’ll want to put aside an average of about 2–4 hours per week in addition to our weekly 90-minute calls. You may find yourself putting in more time some weeks to watch course modules or complete homework assignments, and other weeks will require less time.

We assign all 12 FAMM assignments within the first 4 months so you can devote the second half of the program to your practicum clients. Unlike other courses, we have kept our assignments lean and to the point, focusing only on the skills you need to best serve your clients. You won’t find endless busy work, journal entries, or other “time-filler” assignments in this program.

Note: Our modules and class recordings are available online and can be easily accessed by downloading an app to your phone!

FAMM combines the best of both worlds. We meet LIVE for 90 minutes each week, and our calls include specialized training sessions, chart reviews, client case study presentations, and more. You’ll also gain access to the FAMM training library, which contains a wide variety of training modules and resources you can work through on your own schedule.

Weekly calls are usually held on Tuesdays or Wednesdays at 12:30 pm EST for 90 minutes.

All sessions are recorded and posted to the FAMM online training program within 24 hours.

Yes. The FAMM practicum component requires you to work with clients as part of your training. Many practitioners begin seeing clients specifically for fertility awareness support during the program. We provide guidance on how to find practicum clients, and many of our practitioners recoup a significant portion of their investment while they’re still in the program when they start working with practicum clients in month 4!

That depends. FAMM is designed specifically for women’s health professionals who are actively working with clients. Exceptions may be made for students in professional training programs or other similar situations.

If you’re a women’s health professional or if you are currently enrolled in a professional training program, we invite you to apply now, and we’ll be in touch with the next steps to ensure FAMM is the right fit for your specific situation. If you do not meet either requirement, consider applying in the future once you’ve received your professional certification and have started working with clients!

Yes! FAMM covers advanced fertility awareness techniques to support your clients in optimizing their chances of conception, with a strong focus on fertility nutrition, improving sperm and egg quality, and much more!

Graduates of FAMM receive the designation: FAMM Certified Practitioner, which allows them to offer fertility awareness education to their clients. Upon completion of FAMM, you will be even more knowledgeable than anyone with a ‘fertility awareness educator’ designation — because you’ll have both the charting skills and the clinical protocols to actually address cycle dysfunction.

FAMM provides a degree of education and training far beyond what you would receive in multiple university-level courses. It would take a minimum of 10 years in practice working with well over 1,000+ fertility awareness clients, while also devoting thousands of hours studying the latest research, to even come close to the level of experience you gain in FAMM.

There are no other fertility awareness training programs available geared specifically to women’s health professionals that provide the same level of support and training within such an efficient timeframe. Many of these programs cost significantly more, take much longer, and fail to adequately prepare their graduates to address complex charting scenarios.

FAMM is a unique opportunity because it provides you with an entirely new avenue to grow your business. Our practitioners go on to create at least one new offering for their clients, all while increasing their income in the process.

We offer a reduced rate for practitioners who apply by our early-bird deadline, and for those who pay in full. We also offer payment plans for those who wish to spread the payments out over time. If you have questions about our payment plan options, please apply now and we’ll reach out with additional details.

If you wish to cancel your enrolment, you have seven (7) days from the date of payment to request a refund. You will receive a refund for the amount you paid minus transaction fees, the cost of any materials sent to you upon registration, and any classes attended. No refunds will be provided after this 7-day period.

Congratulations! You may be surprised to hear that we’ve had pregnant women in every FAMM class to date. This includes women who were pregnant at enrolment as well as women who successfully conceived midway through the program. Lisa was also pregnant during the 2022 FAMM year!

We’ve also developed additional options for ongoing support when our practitioners need additional time to complete their certification. Our FAMM Alumni Program allows our practitioners to receive continued mentorship beyond our initial 9 months together.

Note that if you become pregnant during FAMM, there are no refunds provided in that situation.

Yes, absolutely! We’ve had several women’s health professionals join FAMM post-menopause, and while you won’t be able to chart your cycles during the program, we share strategies that allow you to reflect on your past cycling experience, incorporate our FAMM foundational factors as it applies to your current situation, and you’ll benefit from having exposure to our other participants who will be charting during the program.

FAMM is designed to expose you to a wide variety of real-world charting scenarios in class, and this will provide you with ample experience to support your charting clients once you complete your certification.

Yes! We have a variety of ongoing support options available for our graduates and alumni. You won’t be on your own once the 9 months are over.

FAMM is right for you if:

  • You are a women’s health practitioner who is either already working with women in your practice, or you are currently in a recognized training program to do so
  • You are willing to chart your own cycles throughout the program as part of the learning process
  • You have the time and energy to devote 2–4 hours per week to FAMM for the next 9 months
  • You enjoy learning in a group setting and you’re comfortable participating in group video calls
  • You want to cut through the fluff and focus on the practical application of fertility awareness cycle charting in your professional practice
  • You’re comfortable with technology (the online training program, charting apps, Zoom calls, etc.)

FAMM is not right for you if:

  • You are not a women’s health professional, and you want to become a certified fertility awareness educator (there are other programs available for that!)
  • You do not have an existing women’s health practice or professional designation (and you are not currently enrolled as a student in a professional training program)
  • You’re primarily looking for one-on-one support to learn to chart and/or improve your own cycles
  • You do not feel comfortable participating in a group program or group video calls
  • You’re not willing to chart your own menstrual cycles at any point during the program
  • You’re not comfortable with computers or technology — FAMM is hosted entirely online
